2018 APTRA AIRPORT FORUM TO BE STAGED DURING TFWA ASIA PACIFIC
The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) is pleased to announce that the 2018 APTRA Airport Forum will be staged on Sunday 6th May and will be hosted by Singapore Changi Airport.
The afternoon event, which is free, will allow senior airport commercial executives to discuss opportunities and challenges in confidence.
Peter Mohn, CEO & Owner of m1nd-set and Vinoop Goel, Regional Director IATA, will present insights from APTRA’s new airport specific research programme, which provides shopper behavioural analysis, economic predictions and traffic data.
Ben Hartwright, Global Investment Research Analyst, Goldman Sachs Asia will discuss the importance of airport commercial revenues to equity investors in airports and explain how these revenues are critical to an airport’s valuation.
Andrew Gardiner, Chief Commercial Officer, Melbourne Airport, will present insights on the airport’s retail performance, including the new digital experience and its impact on retail, which will be followed by an open forum.
Participants will then tour the new Changi Terminal 4 and its retail outlets before returning to the city for the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference Welcome Cocktail.
Andrew Ford, President APTRA, commented: “The 2017 APTRA Airport Forum was extremely well received. Delegates appreciated a rare opportunity to gain insights not only into how airports are perceived by travellers, but also into how other airports develop successful retail facilities in a challenging geopolitical environment. Singapore Changi and Melbourne Airport are among the beacons of progressive airport retail development and we are delighted that they are willing to share some of their secrets. We look forward to welcoming airport executives from across Asia Pacific to this year’s Forum.”
