In the middle of this devastating crisis, the travel retail industry is suffering everywhere. In Asia Pacific, our usually vibrant industry is effectively paralysed while flights are grounded and borders closed. It is critical that we engage with governments across our region to ensure travel retail is recognised for the value it brings. It accounts for $US37bn in sales and 320,000 jobs.
We are intrinsically linked in the overall aviation and maritime ecosystem, we cannot function without these operational partners and they, in return, cannot deliver a viable business without the essential contribution of non-aeronautical revenue provided by travel retail. APTRA is actively supporting our members and the entire industry across the Asia Pacific with a range of advocacy and communications strategies which are detailed on this page.
