APTRA APPOINTS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Christina Oliver as Executive Director.
Ms. Oliver, who takes up the role on 17th December, will report to the President of APTRA and its Board. From her base in Singapore she will execute the strategic plan agreed by the Board and manage the day-to-day activities of the Association, including research, training, advocacy and communications, assisted by Sharolyn Paul, Administrative Officer.
Ms. Oliver has over 18 years of strategic experience of international brand marketing and retail service implementation. Starting her marketing career in the UK with Viacom Media and ASDA (Wal-Mart), she moved to Singapore where she joined Courts Asia, Southeast Asia’s largest electronics and home furnishings retailer.
On moving to Dubai with her family in 2013, Ms Oliver became Regional Head of Marketing at Al-Futtaim Electronics, where she was responsible for managing a portfolio of electronic brands and overseeing the successful launch of the company’s own label brand. Prior to returning to Singapore in 2018, she spent two years as Regional Head of Marketing at Robinsons Department Stores in the UAE.

A graduate of the University of Newcastle, England, Ms Oliver holds a BA Honours Degree in Economics and is fluent in English and Malaysian (Bahasa). She can be contacted from 17th December at christina.oliver@aptra.asia
